Hunslet No 492 Built 1889 Alice Class Dinorwic Quarry
At delivery this loco was named Alice. It was renamed after a racehorse in 1908. The name Alice went to No 780; possibly the whole tank plus nameplates swapped!! [ Quarry Hunslets of North Wales : Cliff Thomas ]
This loco was scratch built by John Orson and Andy Cooper from Wild Rose drawings by Dave Watkins - and modified.
